Apart from Sungei Buloh wetland reserve, you can do some great half day forest hikes between MacRitchie Reservoir the two Pierce reservoirs and Bukit Timah nature reserve. Well signposted. Sport shoes are fine. And there's a good suspension bridge to walk over.

I love the curries and Indian fare in Georgetown Penang. There's a little place at the top end of Chulia Street I'm dreaming about now.
