An eruption on Krakatoa in 2008, Indonesia
Added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991, this national park on the south-western tip of Java is the location of the famed volcanic island group of Krakatoa.It is also home to the largest area of lowland rainforests in the Java plain.The park is home to various species of endangered animals and plants, including the reclusive and highly threatened Javan Rhinoceros.
