The Southeast Asia Travel Photography and Writing Awards aim to recognise the best travel pictures and stories about Southeast Asia. Participants are encouraged to submit their entries to be considered for the awards and a chance to be published on the SoutheastAsia.org website. Visitors to the website can also get their friends involved by nominating others to be entered into the awards contest.
Entries can be submitted via the SoutheastAsia.org website, and there is no limit to the number of pictures or articles that a participant can submit. Once an entry is submitted, it will appear in the gallery page on the website, where the public will be able to view the pictures and stories and vote for their favourites to win the People’s Choice Awards. A panel of judges will also review all entries and select the winners of the Editor’s Choice Awards.
To attract People's Choice votes for their pictures and stories, participants are encouraged to promote their entries to friends via Facebook and on their blogs using downloadable participation badges linking back to SoutheastAsia.org.
The following awards will be given out in both the People’s Choice and Editor’s Choice categories (no single writer or photographer can win more than one monthly prize):-
