Singapore’s National Day

Held on August 9th of every year since Singapore declared its independence from Malaysia in 1965, Singapore’s National Day is a huge nationwide celebration that is highlighted by the National Day Parade in the Singapore National Stadium.Considered THE event in Singapore, it is filled with pomp and circumstance, lavish floats and colors, a standard military parade, an impressive airs-show and a massive fireworks display.Everyone is dressed in red and white (Singapore’s national colors) and spend the day (and night) singing, dancing and partying.
